The Temporary Library for transmediale 2017 ever elusive, co-curated by Alessandro Ludovico and Annette Gilbert, has been conceived to reflect the history and participants of transmediale and the Berlin-related media art scene. Publishers have been asked to donate publications, which led to a collection of over 200 books, magazines, and newspapers dealing with the topics of digital art and culture in a broader sense. Following transmediale 2017 the collection has been transferred to the library of the University of Arts Berlin and will be on display until 14 July. After that it will be catalogued and available for lending.

The collection includes among others works by Benjamin H. Bratton, Andreas Broeckman, Dieter Daniels, Marshall McLuhan, Metahaven, Felix Stalder, and Cornelia Sollfrank.
