Joy Tang is the Founder of oneVillage Foundation, a global nonprofit organisation using innovative approach to deliver the power of technology and information to people in the developing countries, giving them valuable tools for building better lives. She is active in sustainable education and development, promotion of indigenous culture heritage, creation of ecotourism as social enterprise and designing appropriate information and communication technology (ICT) devices and solutions to facilitate collaboration and learning. Joy Tang integrated the design of oneVillage Initiative (OVI) as a socio-economic development compass based on her research of and collaboration with communities in Africa and like-minded people from around the world. The OVI is applied in Winneba Open Digital Village in Ghana as the pilot digital learning center. Before her work in digital development in Africa, Joy Tang held positions in the areas of Government Alliances, Emerging Market Development, Sales Development and Executive Briefing and Communication and Cisco Foundation in Cisco.
