Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag is an artist, composer and researcher. He studied fine arts, art history, music theory, composition, philosophy and cognitive science. He received several grants or prizes (2012 Villa-Aurora-Grant) and has exhibited in various international exhibitions and festivals. Following in the 90ies a concept of a polyreferential minimal modernism along the borders of perception, after 2000 he started to research about his tools in media-archology and epistimology and invented with his lab media technical hybrids like the coded high voltage plasma for his sonArc::project.
