Ziv Neeman
Ziv Neeman is a critic, lecturer artist and political activist from Israel. He studied philosophy, art, communication, cultural studies and literature. His Ph.D. from Columbia University, NYC, examined early computers in the context of the cold war. He was awarded a prestigious postdoctoral interdisciplinary fellowship at the Michigan Society of Fellows, where he continued researching the history of engagements between computing and literature. He has taught courses on the cultural history of computing, the internet and cyberculture. Neeman is a longtime peace activist, working in various organisations promoting the end of the Occupation and a just end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He is on the editorial board of the Israeli online art, culture and criticism journal, Ma'arav.
