Before we will have the definitive answer on where digital art practices fit into the universal cultural legacy of artistic practices a great majority of the works may have become inaccessible, trapped in obsolete formats or disintegrating on unstable physical media. Recently this concern has begun to liberate large public investment in strategies to help maintain, preserve and rehabilitate digital art works. This panel will discuss several of the initiatives currently underway, their agendas, practices, and results.
