Phoebe Osborne holds a BA degree in Dance from the University of California, San Diego. From 2009-2011 she directed a dance company with Ona Fuste in Barcelona, Spain. Osborne has worked alongside Miguel Gutierrez, NU2, Mal Pelo, Sara Shelton Mann, and Oreet Ashery. She recently made a book, Movement Manual, supported by This Will Take Time. In 2014 her work was produced by SFMoMA and Oakland Museum of California. While steeped in history, Osborne is fueled by an active engagement with technology, futurism, and cultural-political threads to create works that resound with embodiments of psychic states, nature, extensions of the physical, and participation in the social.
