The goal of this Panic Room session is to explore the basis on which technological solutions, in the broadest sense of the phrase, are applied to complex political and cultural processes such as border, migration, and crisis management as well as identity politics. Invited participants include software developers, researchers, artists, and activists, who will discuss the hidden biases often built into technological solutions and look at how these can be opened up and hacked by their own “stakeholders.”
