In the Workspace the public is invited to be part of an intense artistic exchange with invited project groups and media labs. The Fly Utopia! workspace, in the foyer of Haus der Kulturen der Welt, is one of the key elements of the festival: an open laboratory that oscillates between presentation and participation. In this space, invited project groups and medialabs, together with the public, will be developing ideas and actions of utopian potential in connection with the festival’s programme. Instruction in workshops includes media skills and creative practice with technology. The five workshops are geared towards participants of differing interests and experience. The spectrum ranges from video editing to constructing low-tech robots.
