The Tuise Luper Suitcases is an ambitious audio visual project by director Peter Greenaway (gb/nl). Films, DVDs, television, the Web, books, interactive DVDs and an exhibition are combined to stage the story of the picaresque adventures of Tuise Luper. Between 1928 and 1989, Luper is caught up in a life of prisons from Wales to Manchuria in which he invents projects in different art forms. Having come to fame, a conference and exhibition in New York is dedicated to Luper and his 92 suitcases. Peter Greenaway speaks on the background and full scope of The Tuise Luper Suitcases project. The Kasander Film Company highlight the first development of the Tuise Luper Web and present its official international start. Students of the Univer sity of Leipzig - the first German “Luper Authorities” - present their research on Tuise Luper in The Tuise Luper Office.
