Mark Pellington looks back on the legendary days of his father who in the late fifties and into the sixties played football with the "Baltimore Colts". He was a celebrated star of the media and a symbol of both strength and machoism. Today, at the age of 65, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, his past is no more than a series of blurred and distressing pictures. Pellington's collage embraces the child-like, disturbed and all-generalizing vision of the adult as portrayed by the father, the altered capacity to remember over the course of time, and, shocking enough for any adult, a confrontation with the mortality of one's parents.
