A portait of the choreographer and dancer Anette Abildgaard and her New Danish Dance Theater. This tape depicts the staging of the ballet "Morel's Invention". Excerpts from the performances "Speranza", "Rites," and "Skagen" are also shown. What makes this black- and-white video particularly unusual is, on the one hand, the camera work, which underlines the mood of the ballet and the movements of the dancers, and, on the other, an artificial "grun- giness" of the images created through extreme graininess and mixed-in "film damage" that give the video an idiosyncratic atmosphere.
