Die pakistanische Künstlerin und Medienwissenschaftlerin ist Mitbegründerin des Medienkunstkollektivs MAUJ, das sich mit der Nutzung von 'Open Source Technologie' beschäftigt. Maliks Arbeit "Eyes glued to the screen but missing the real picture!" wurde für die Tehran Biennale 2007 ausgewählt. A digital artist and media theorist, Atteqa Malik is a founder member of MAUJ, a collective in Karachi using open technology to promote empowerment, art and culture in society. MAUJ is planning one of the first ever panels related to Pakistani media art in Karachi. She studies the changes that arise in the human condition as old values meet new technology. Her graphic piece entitled 'Eyes glued to the screen but missing the real picture!' was selected in 2007 for the roaming Tehran Biennial.
