Ælab
Ælab
An artistic research unit, Ælab was founded in 1996 by Gisèle Trudel and Stéphane Claude. Their creations showcase the duo’s interest in interdisciplinary collaboration between art and science, rooted in ecological and technological awareness. Æ is not limited by the subjectivity of its components nor to the production of a yearly artistic statement but is engaged in an ongoing process of discovery often acting as a catalyst for redistributed experiences and adventures. Stéphane Claude is an electroacoustic musician, audio mastering engineer and the head of the audio sector of OBORO’s new media lab. Gisèle Trudel is a media artist and Professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
