Bothered by the Border documents Mario Asef’s performance on the 18th of June in 2006, in TagpolPark, Seoul, in which he improvises a song in a language he does not understand. Dozens of retired people meet every day in the TapgolPark in order to sing karaoke, eat, dance and drink. A lot of the participants belong to the generation that survived the separation of Korea. Their stereo equipment is often so close together that the melodies overlap and the park turns into a chaotic festive atmosphere, especially on this particualr holy day.
