"Bleibende Werte" (Remaining Values) - an expression used in Germany for the long-lasting effects and dangers of radioactivity. Hartmut Jahn began his long-term study in 1986. He polled various children in Berlin right after the Chernobyl disaster on their views and on their situations. Ten years later he visited them for the third time, confronted them with their earlier statements and asked them about their current outlooks. What attitudes, desires and utopias have developed for 17 to 20-year-olds who have grown up with numerous catastrophes? A media and case study in the perspective of divergent biographies.
