Chirping and Crawling
Chirping and Crawling
Sensitive acoustic modules and primitive solar robots - Introduction into Nervous Networks. Track 1: LIVING PARTICLES. Electronic circuits, which are supplied by solar cells, generate soft, quiet and variable sounds. The participants can build their own solar sound modules or their own solarbot. Electronic know-how is not required. In spite of the simple technics, many chaotic sounds emerge, which reveal the complex internal tensions which the wires represent. At the end of the workshop, the self-built solar sound modules can be taken home by the participants. Track 2: ANALOGROBOTS. A hands-on workshop in building life-like electromechanical artefacts that can walk. Faubel und Noth (derstrudel) introduce basic concepts of oscillating networks for movement control. Learn how to create your own robot out of a handful of electronic parts, wires and a soldering iron. Everybody goes home with a crawling robot!
