Cold Genius is a multimedia version of the short opera of the same name by Eberhard Schoener, the first of five operas whose central musical element is the Cold Aria from Henry Purcell's King Arthur and which dramatize the life of the German musician Klaus Nomi. The section Genesis documents the creation of Cold Genius and illuminates the artistic work of Eberhard Schoener and the life of Klaus Nomi. Renga brings together the music and the contents of Cold Genius in associative movements and images.
