‘Demi-Pas’ is a short film, projected using a ‘reversed camera’ technique. A projector has been converted to house micro-mechanisms producing animated images via cinematographic principles. Julien Maire devises his own narrative methods, action, and images. Real objects and photographic material are reworked withtin the projector. This experimental form of projection is the basis for the film’s extremely simple storyline: one man’s daily routine.
