Dimitris Charitos is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Athens. He studied Architecture at NTUAthens and C.A.A.D. at Strathclyde University, and holds a PhD in interactive and virtual environments design. He has worked as a researcher since 1994 in the fields of virtual reality, locative media, intelligent environments, and interactive design. Since 1984 his artistic work has involved electronic and interactive audiovisual installations and has been exhibited in Greece, UK, Canada, and Cyprus. He has more than 85 publications in books, journals, and conference proceedings.
