Drew Hemment is an artist, curator and researcher. He is Director and founder of the FutureEverything Festival and Conference, and is Associate Director of ImaginationLancaster at Lancaster University. His work has been covered prominently by New York Times, BBC and NBC, and he was awarded an Honorary Mention at Prix Ars Electronica 2008 for the artwork Loca: Set To Discoverable. His mobile phone DJ performance at ISEA2004 was a world first and was covered by the New York Times, and he was a key figure in early UK electronic dance music culture in the late 1980s. He completed a PhD at Lancaster University in 1999.
