Gravis Flagship Store
The Gravis Flagship store, a recently restored ensemble of post-war modernism hosts the work of New York based artist and musician Gregory Shakar. 4s professor of Physical Computing at NYU's Interactive Telecommunication Program, Shakar seeks to reveal the emotive implications of physical devices and electronic media. ‘Analogue Colour Field Computer' is an interactive computer installation that produces compositions of surging colours and musical tones. The ‘Urchins' are electronic sculptures that produce continuous musical passages; visitors can influence these compositions by placing their hands near any of devices' flexible spines
