Jesselyn Radack is the director of National Security & Human Rights at the Government Accountability Project, the leading whistleblower organization in the U.S. She currently represents a number of high-profile national security and intelligence community whistleblowers, including Edward Snowden, who have been criminally investigated and/or prosecuted under the Espionage Act. Previously, she worked as an ethics attorney at the Justice Department, where she blew the whistle on government misconduct on the first terrorism prosecution after 9/11. She won the 2011 Sam Adams Award, the 2012 Hugh M. Hefner Award, was named a 2013 Foreign Policy Leading Global Thinker. She is currently a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and is a frequent media commentator on issues of national security, press freedom, and whistleblowing. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Guardian, Washington Post, L.A. Times, Wall Street Journal, Salon, and numerous legal journals. She is a graduate of Brown University and Yale Law School, and author of the book Traitor: The Whistleblower & the American Taliban.
