In the work of the historian R. Cobb Greenaway discovered a list compiled by two workers of the morguebetween 1795and 1801. Hundreds of corpses drowned in the Seine were described. The careful notes give an exact picture of the social conditions these individuals had been living in and a picture of the epoch.
