There is no region in the world that gets more media coverage than the Near East. The information and communication flowing between different communities, however, is constantly being disturbed, manipulated, or disrupted. What are the tasks of net artists and activists in the midst of a culture of crisis and war, making the state of emergency a normality?
How are they artistically applying new media in order to overcome ethnic and political boundaries in the space provided by global networks?
The participants of the panel are artists, curators and networkers who have, over recent years, initiated collaborative projects between Israelis, Palestinians, and Arabs.
