PROBE by TR Kirstein is intended to be heard with the body. Or rather, you cannot avoid hearing it with your body. Even if you cover your ears the sound waves penetrate your skin and vibrate inside you. There is nothing to interpret or understand. No recognisable melody or structure to detect. There is no development and no end-point. All you are left with is the physical experience of the brutally vibrant matter of the subsonic drones working continuously on the darkened space you are in. They do not fill the space but become the space. They take it over and obliterate its measurable dimensions, replacing them with the abstract dimensionality of a sonic resonance oblivious to boundaries.
