René Frölke was born in 1978 in Eichsfeld. Since 1999 he worked as a freelancer editor and cameraman for television and documentary film projects, including for Thomas Heise. His films include: Jour de grève (2007), Ropinsalmi (2007), Von der Vermählung des Salamanders mit der grünen Schlange (2010) and Führung (2010).
