In the time-frame 11 May - 3 June, the reSource curator Tatiana Bazzichelli will travel to Brazil to discover local and translocal events, projects and institutions working critically with art, technology, politics and identity.

 

reSource transmedial culture goes Brazil: 11 May - 3 June

Following the aim of the reSource to be involved in a critical and technological discourse to connect together institutions, artists and researchers within the contemporary media culture scenario, in the time-frame 11 May - 3 June, our reSource curator Tatiana Bazzichelli will travel to Brazil to discover local and translocal events, projects and institutions working critically with art, technology, politics and identity.

 

Part of the schedule are curatorial research visits to Fábrica Bhering in Santo Cristo (Rio de Janeiro), to MediaLab UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), to the Independent space of contemprary art Barracao Maravilha, and to Gentil Carioca art gallery.

Some lectures are planned at the "Mundo em Rede" , Intelligence Technologies and Digital Design Postgraduate Program, Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (Theme: "Art, Activism and Hacker Culture", scheduled on May 21, moderated by Lucia Santaella with Giselle Beiguelman arranged by Marcus Bastos in collaboration with Georgia Haddad Nicolau) and at the São Paulo University /USP: Universidade de São Paulo, within the seminar: SincretiKa Digital & ECA: Subjetividade ubíqua entre cultura digital e metrópole comunicacional (Theme: "Networked Disruption": Arte e hacktivismo em debate, scheduled on May 23, with Massimo Canevacci).

 

This curatorial research travel is supported by Goethe Institut (Germany) and the Leuphana University of Lüneburg/CDC.
