He tries to find company at a disco, and does pick up a woman, yet even what happens in bed seems to be , of no significance. Nervousness and restlessness don't pass, the stress is mental. "Welcome to Neuromancer", the video itself cites the very source of its origins. It is cold, slick and uneasy, full of animated tricks and effects. Techno music punctuates the icy cold in which this work tells of the digitalisation of the self.
