The oversized trapezoidal table made of an aluminium material seems cold. In an orderly arrangement, on the table's cool grey surface, is a group of small LCD monitors. What first appears in the screens seem to be unrecognizable marks, mere spots, which, under closer observation, effect changes. Gradually, through all the monitors, runs a trail made by the diffused imprint of padding feet. At the journey's conclusion, the brush of a hand erases them. The entire process is witnessed by the infallible eye of a thermo-graphic camera which makes a video image of the remaining warmth being pulled along.
Kirsten Geisler studies the medium of warmth as the indisputable proof of a lost physical presence. These recordings which make the absent visible are on the level of tones composed entirely of echoes. For years now, Geisler has studied the cross-over point between the material and immaterial and from the corporeal to incorporeal.
Video installation, metal object, 12 LCD-displays, 6 video channels, 6 audio channels.
