The R.O.G.I.T.A.L. Undead - A Zombie Porn Genealogy
From the queer tradition of LaBruce zombie porn, to the gore and slices of body parts in the cemetery of profiles populating hook-ups (not only) gay platforms, from queer porn to content-generated-body-cuts, ROGITAL: Rotten Digital Body Narratives emerge. A strange garden of de-symbolised signs blossoms with fear and excitation, meat and organs, sex and death, narrative and critical analysis, images as cinema or hook-up profiles. Those organs start speaking about a de-organised body of sexuality calling into crisis notions of sexual citizenship and netizenship. In this frame Shaka McGlotten will discuss the tradition and contemporary experimentations of zombie porn; the musician and performer Can “Khan” Oral will performatively enter the fluctuating organs with multiple bodies of Web 2.0 through a presentation of his book Angels in disguise (The Abstract Aesthetics of Digital Flaneurism). Francesco Warbear Macarone Palmieri, co-chair of the Will You Be My Trashure? conference stream will moderate the debate.
