This interactive computer "game" turns the concept of a friendly interface on its head and goes out of its way to be rude to the user, provoking the question: Why do the computers want to be friend with us? "User Unfriendly Interface" is designed to make you think twice about trusting computers. Using a combination of blunt personal questions, clunky graphics and elegant animation, references are made to: personality testing, dating services, data base abuse and Pavlovian computer users. It is a humorous look at power in the new information age, conspiracy theories, virtual reality, rights for robots, the male versus female space debate and cyberculture in general.
