Echoing a method frequently used at e-waste dumps in West Africa and China to extract valuable materials from electronic waste, circuit boards from obsolete mobile phones are melted down on a hot plate. The circuits are connected to electrodes on the artist’s body with electricity wires. Electric currents are modulated by the circuit boards, and used to activate his muscles. As a result of the melting of the circuits, the contraction patterns of the muscles change and are eventually interrupted.
