transmediale’s 2016 edition will start in two days. The opening on 3 February at 19:00 will display the full spectrum of the Conversation Piece program, featuring interactive talk shows, installations, and performances. Join us for this impressive evening of conversation starters and get a taste of the upcoming days. Tickets are not required.

Last week of Vorspiel

The last week of the pre-festival program Vorspiel kicks off today. On 2 February, the audiovisual improvisation collective RecPlay from the The Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague will perform at SPEKTRUM | art science community, before heading to transmediale on 4 February. The award-winning interactive performance Skype Duet will be presented at Ehemaliges Stummfilmkino Delphi on 6 February. Performed live simultaneously in New York and Berlin through Skype, in the piece a young woman tries to connect and relate to the world around her.

Die diesjährige Ausgabe der transmediale startet in zwei Tagen. Die Eröffnung am 3. Februar um 19:00 bietet mit interaktiven Talkshows, Installationen und Performances einen Einblick in das gesamte Spektrum des Conversation Piece-Programms. Begleitet uns durch diesen beeindruckenden Abend der Conversation Starter und erlebt eine Kostprobe der kommenden Tage. Tickets werden nicht benötigt.

Letzte Vorspiel-Woche

Heute beginnt die letzte Woche des Vorfestivalprogramms Vorspiel. Am 2. Februar tritt das das audiovisuelle Improvisationskollektiv RecPlay der Königlichen Akademie der Künste in Den Haag bei SPEKTRUM | art science community, bevor es am am 4. Februar an der transmediale teilnimmt. Die preisgekrönte interaktive Performance Skype Duet wird am 6. Februar im Ehemaligen Stummfilmkino Delphi präsentiert. In dem gleichzeitig in New York und Berlin angesiedelten Stück, das sich durch Skype live entwickelt, versucht eine junge Frau eine Verbindung zu ihrer Außenwelt herzustellen.
