This complex digital portrait of Portugal's most famous writer, Fernando Pessoa, is a multi-level investigation into the author's work and persona - or, more accurately, personas, since he always wrote under several„heteronyms". Fragments ofPessoa's work are woven into a dense fabric superimposing Pessoa's intellectual world over a masterfully composed visual level that combines diverse dance and performance elements with pictures of Lisbon, Pessoa's city, as well as digital collages which attempt to do visual justice to his writing. Without smothering the words, the performances and electronic collages capture the pervasive melancholy ofPessoa's work, but also the unexpected lightness, the characters who saunter as if in a dream. We stroll through the interior and external worlds of Pessoa, an artist who described himself as a "nomad wandering through his own consciousness''.
