Darsha Hewitt
Darsha Hewitt is a new media artist known for her examinations of communication technology in the domestic sphere and her use of DIY aesthetics and practices. She makes electromechanical sound installations, drawings, how-to videos and performances. Alongside her art practice, she lectures in the Faculty of Media at the Bauhaus University. She recently completed a fellowship at the Berlin Centre for Advanced Studies in Arts and Sciences (BAS) at the Art University of Berlin and has held guest professorships in New Media at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and in Sound at the Karlsruhe University of Art and Design.
