José Luis de Vicente is a researcher, curator and writer working around the edges of new media arts and innovation in design and culture. He directs the VISUALIZAR programme on information visualisation at Medialab Prado, Madrid. Previously he was artistic director of the OFFF Festival, deputy director of ArtFutura and associated curator of Sónar. Recent projects include The Atlas of Electromagnetic Space and the Exhibition Machines and Souls at the Reina Sofia National Museum, Madrid. He is also the founder of ZZZinc, a new space in Barcelona working around cultural research and innovation.
