The basis of this audiovisual river is Kafka's relationship to Milena Jesenska, which became famous through his posthumously published letters. At the beginning we see a crystal floating through space, and the narrative is also like seeing through a crystal - all events and sounds, even the thoughts of the protagonists, overlap and meld, lifting time out of the realm of bitter-sweet memory and the torturous present of unfulfilled desire, unbridgable distance.
